Mara Hauser created 25N Coworking as a space to work for suburbanites just like her—active parents seeking a flexible, productive workday supported by an existing network of friends, family, and acquaintances.
She also wanted facilities where she could seamlessly flow from private, focused work to making useful connections. She wanted the full workplace experience packed into one holistic workday.
But 25N Coworking isn’t wishful thinking, it’s a product of Mara’s career: Mara led an enterprise company’s real estate interior design/project management team with 300+ locations throughout North America under her firm the Hauser Group, and grew the business to manage $10M to $28.7M projects in the first 2.5 years. The Hauser Group was soon recognized as one of Inc’s 500/5000 fastest growing private companies in America—revenues grew from $1.5M to just under $4M in that same 2.5 year period.
Today, rebranded as Workplace Studio, it is a thriving multi-disciplinary interior design firm and consultancy. Workplace Studio has completed interior design projects in 48 states and 5 Canadian provinces from its headquarters in the Chicago metro area.
In the past 2 years, Workplace Studio has consulted with over 60 existing coworking companies and coworking startups focused on workplace strategy, feasibility, brand, interior design, and operations.
Most importantly, Workplace Studio’s evolution was crucial to Mara’s next undertaking—founding her own successful coworking space brand—and Workplace Studio continues to support 25N’s new and existing locations, from test fit design to facilities management.
